Turing House celebrates its first exam results
Turing School School is delighted to announce its first set of GCSE exam results in GCSE Religious Studies, with 86% of students gaining grades 9-4, and an incredible 47% achieving top grades 7, 8 and 9.
Having opened in 2015, the founding cohort have reached a huge milestone receiving their GCSE Religious Studies exam results this morning. Whilst several individuals have gained outstanding grades in language courses previously, this was the first occasion in which the entire cohort were entered for an external paper.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with this fabulous first set of results for our founding cohort” said Headteacher Colin Mackinlay. “They and their families have been on an incredible journey with us and these are the well-deserved fruits of everyone’s labour”
Martin O’Sullivan, Head of Upper School and their RS teacher said; “I’m so pleased for all of these students, they have been a pleasure to teach and I’m really looking forward to their Year 11 results next year. Completing the course a year early has given students a great experience of exam preparation, revision, exam technique and coping with the stress of completing an external exam. All of this will be vital as the students approach the full suite of courses in the summer of 2020”
